Porting from CS:GO

Post by Insomnia » Wed Apr 27, 2016 6:25 pm

Does anyone know how to port surf maps from CS:GO? Is it the same as CS:S, or are there certain differences? I'd like to port some CS:GO original maps to TF2 but I'd like to know exactly what I'm doing before I start to make sure it's done effectively.

Surf_edge is pretty high prioritied in my porting list and I do own Counter-Strike Global offensive since a while now.

I'll keep you in touch when I will start working on it.

You'd have to ask malt...because the bsp's from CSGO are a different version than the ones from TF2; which means a direct port is pretty much impossible. You'd have to use other 3rd party programs to get them to work properly in Tf2's version of hammer.

As I said, malt's better at porting GO maps than I am.
