/ssj Command In Bhop

Post by unskilled » Sun Oct 16, 2016 3:15 pm

There should be a /ssj or !ssj command. CS S bhop has this, and it basically checks your speed each jump. You can configure it to update in chat after every jump, every 6 jumps starting on the 6th jump (why it is called ssj, speed on sixth jump, and this is used to measure how good people are at strafing), etc.
If you were to go as far as to add /ssj, you'd also want to add a gain counter. I'm not sure how exactly it works, but it basically puts a percent in your chat after the jumps you set your ssj to, and that percent is your gain, 70% is good, 80% is amazing.

These settings are useful because you can measure both the quality and the efficiency of your strafe.

Taking a quick glance at that repo it seems they removed the built in version to use this instead, later today i will throw it on the bhop server and see how it goes.

edit: it wont work right away since tf2 doesnt have a jump event for some reason. I have to emulate one.
